First, I had an idea for a session for next year. After the alternative career path session, I was left wishing that one of the panelists could have been a science writer of some sort. I am wondering what people would think about a panel focused on practicing and communicating the history of science in both the public and academic realms. It would be useful, perhaps, to have someone who acts as both a public intellectual and an academic–like a history of science prof who blogs, for instance. Another possibility would be science writers who are publishing popularly consumed books and articles about the history of science. I think there could be wide interest in a panel like this.

Also, I have to say that I am excited to work with Cera on the mentorship program!
