Dear HSS members,

The early registration deadline for the 3-Society meeting (HSS, BSHS, CSHPS) in Oxford, UK, this 4-6 July 2008 has been extended to 15 April. Members may register online by going to http://www.bshs.org.uk/bshs/conferences/other_bshs_meetings/three_societies_meeting/three_societies_2008_connecting_disciplines/index.html. A copy of the preliminary program is also available through this link. Many of the rooms at the host college, Keble, have already been reserved, but the organizers have made overflow arrangements. Those who wish to chair a session at the conference should contact Sally Horrocks <smh4@leicester.ac.uk> and provide your areas of expertise.

Student members of HSS who are presenting a paper at the conference are eligible for a limited number of registration fee subsidies provided by the HSS. A strong preference will be given to applications from HSS students who will be traveling from outside the UK. (Please note that the British Society and the Canadian Society are also offering various grants to their student members.) Students should contact the HSS Executive Office at info@hssonline.org to apply for an HSS subsidy. You will need to send contact information and proof of student status. The first deadline will be 10 April so that we can let applicants know if they have been funded before the early registration deadline. If there is money left over, students may request funds through 1 June.
